All of our coaches have a true love of the boxing sport and represent our core values here at Phoenix Fire ABC. With a range of backgrounds, sports and qualifications we bring knowledge and experience from every direction. 

Elite

Trainers

DamiAN

Damo has coached for 33 years and is a EB Level 4 coach and AIBA 1 star. Represented England as a coach between 2006-18. Also a serving referee, judge and supervisor for the sport.

ELLIOT

Elliot has been coaching for 15yrs and in that time he has gained a BA(hons) in Sports Coaching, MSc in Strength and Conditioning. Elliot has achieved England Boxing L3, AIBA 2* and Pro License coaching badges. He also coached as part of the England Boxing Talent pathway 2018-2023 and became part of the GB Coach Development Programme 2023 - present. Additionally he tutor's England Boxing Coach Education at L1 and L2.

Mark

Mark has been coaching for 33 years with a Level 2 qualification for England boxing. With the belief in creating a great place to train culture Mark is the event manager and promoter for phoenix fire for both public and coach events. He is the go to liason with parents in supporting the well-being and happiness at the club. Mark has also worked alongside Natalie in the new branding for the team, creating a new website, kit, look and income for our Phoenix Fire Boxers! Mark also works with local businesses to search for sponsorship opportunities and increase club income that will be spent on facilities, trips and team building. TOM

Tom is an England Boxing qualified coach with over 20 years coaching experience including in the gym and in schools and communities developing pathways and links to the club. Qualified England Boxing Coach Educator and Personal Trainer.

Glynn

Glynn has been a boxing coach for 7 years with a level 1 qualification. He has a brilliant amateur boxing record representing England and reaching an ABA final.

FRANKIE

Frankie has been involved with Phoenix for 10 years after having some competitive bouts for the club. He was made welcome from day one and has loved every minute since. Frankie made some friends for life along the way. Here’s to the next 10 years in the Phoenix Family…..

Gary

Garry has been involved with the club for over ten years as a development coach helping young boxers improve their boxing skills and build confidence. Gary helped coach novices to regional girl squads as well as championship winning boxers. He gets the most enjoyment seeing someone walk through the gym door for the first time with no experience to them progressing on to represent the club.

Gezim (Jay)

Jay has been around boxing all of his life, and has has a love of the sport from a young age. He is an England qualified Level 1 boxing coach. Jay has been at Phoenix just over a year now and is really enjoying being a part of the team.

Brendan

Brendan is pretty new to the Phoenix family, with a Level 1 coaching Qualification, he is absolutely loving every minute of being part of the team.

Danielle

Growing up with brothers who had a love of boxing within the Phoenix family it was hard for Danielle to not to also. She has trained with the Phoenix Family since childhood. Danielle now has an England Level 1 Qualification and a Fitness Instruction qualification. She supports the delivery of classes within the gym and her next venture will be embarking on a nutrition course.

THE FIGHTERS

Boxing takes skill, punching power, timing, stamina, durability, defensive capability and mental preparation. Fighters need to spend hours in the gym working on their craft, dedicating their time to learning new skills, improving their athletic ability and strength as well as mental preparation our Current Boxing Champions and Talented Amateur Boxers all trained and mentored at Phoenix Fire by our dedicated team.
